In one of the longest regular season games in Ice Dogs’ history, Georgia fell to Clemson. After a scoreless overtime, 8 rounds of a shootout were needed to determine the winner.
Georgia goaltender Vince Dicarlo stopped 6 out of 8 shooters giving his team a chance to win. But, the Bulldogs could only muster one goal in the shootout by rookie sophomore Chris Bastecki.
Georgia dominated much of the play throughout the game and out-shot Clemson 41-33. However, the Ice Dogs hit the posts six times and could only get two pucks past a solid Clemson goalie.
Sunday afternoon, the Dogs ran into top ranked Arkansas. Despite a relatively evenly played game on the ice and in the statistical column, the Razorbacks outscored Georgia 3-1 early on en route to a 7-1 win.
