Ice Dogs Rout South Carolina To Advance To Semis Of Tournament

The Georgia Ice Dogs defeated South Carolina 8-3 Friday night in Cumming, Ga to advance to the semi-finals of the 2011 SECHC Tournament Cup. Peter Kacer picked up a hat trick. Goalies Vince DiCarlo and Paul Connors split time, stopping 24 of 27 shots. Georgia will face defending champion Arkansas tomorrow night.

Georgia To Face South Carolina In SEC Playoff

The Ice Dogs will face off against the Gamecocks in a first round double-header of the SECHC playoffs at 8:00pm on Friday, February 25 at The ICE. Florida will play Tennessee in the nightcap. The winners will face winners from the SEC West division quarter finals on Saturday, February 26 at the Columbus Civic Center.

Ice Dogs Scrap With 2 Rivals For Post-Season

The Georgia hockey team faces two tough rivals this weekend. Friday night, Georgia takes on the Tennessee in a game that will determine final standings in the SECHC East. Saturday night brings the Yellowjackets to Duluth for a showdown between the rivals that could have ACHA National ranking implications for both teams.
