Roster Released, Four Make Watchlist

Head Coach John Hoos has released the 2011-12 Ice Dogs Roster as training camp and tryouts have wrapped. The South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference has also named four Ice Dogs to the 2011-12 season watchlist. Peter Kacer and Vince DiCarlo headline the watchlist for the Ice Dogs. Forward Cam Navis and defensman Ryan Terrana also make the list for the Dogs and look to contribute heavily this season.

Kacer had 20 points in 10 games for the Ice Dogs in the second semester after transfering from Kennesaw State. He helped Georgia to a third-place finish in the 2011 SECHC Tournament and was named to the All-Tournament team. Kacer also made headlines during the off season for setting a record at the skills challenge hosted by the Gwinnett Gladiators.

Vince DiCarlo played over 1100 minutes for the Ice Dogs last season, recording a 4.48 Goals Against Average. He also earned 3rd team All-SECHC honors.

Last season, Cam Navis was fifth on the team in points (15) last season in 25 games played and Terrana anchored the blueline for Coach Hoos.

Seniors Matt McClure and Brian Nahodyl also return for the Ice Dogs this season along with juniors Pete Virk and goaltender Paul Connors.
