The Georgia Ice Dogs have released the schedule for the 2011-12 season, which includes 12 confernce games and 13 home games. The Ice Dogs have also been ranked pre-season No. 2 in the SECHC East in the Coaches poll. Georgia recieved one first-place vote.
The 25-game schedule also includes the Savannah Classic, Columbus Clash, and the annual rivalry with Florida in Jacksonville on the same weekend as the football teams play.
The Ice Dogs will play Atlanta-area rivals Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State four times this season, with two games being played in Duluth, Ga.
Georgia will play the traditional SEC East opponents Florida, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt twice each. The Ice Dogs will also play Alabama and Auburn in conference matches. The Ice Dogs will play Ole Miss this season as well, but the contest will be considered a non-conference game to keep with the 12-conference game policy set up by the SECHC for this season.
