The University of Georgia Hockey team had knocked off one rival, Georgia Tech, at their new home The Classic Center in downtown Athens back in April but could not manage defeating two rivals in a row. SEC foe Florida upended the Ice Dogs 6-2 in front of a ruckus crowd of over 1,100 fans on Sunday afternoon. The draw was not a sellout like the April game, but the Bulldog faithful were loud when given the chance to cheer.
Georgia will face off against two more SEC rivals, Auburn and Tennessee, this Friday and Saturday nights in Athens at the Classic Center. Tickets start at $7. Group seating is available. www.ClassicCenter.com for tickets.
