Ice Dawgs Win 2017 Veteran’s Day Invitational

By: Tyler Farmer

After destroying Tennessee for their eighth straight win, the Ice Dawgs faced off against Kennesaw State on day two of the 2017 Veteran’s Day Invitational. KSU handed the Ice Dawgs their lone loss so far this season, so this game presented an opportunity for redemption.

Saturday’s ceremonial puck drop was performed by Sgt. Bobby McWaters. Mr. McWaters served in the United States Army from 1969-1971 during the Vietnam War. Currently, he is a two-year trustee of both the VFW Post 2872 and AMVETS Post 10. Mr. WcWaters is also the Vice President of the non-profit I STILL HAVE A DREAM Foundation.
