Kentucky Roars Back, Beats Georgia 6-4

On the heels of a critical non-conference win last weekend against South Florida, the Ice Dawgs returned to the ice Saturday night at Kentucky. The atmosphere in Lexington was unlike any Georgia had experienced so far this season, because Kentucky’s home games are at midnight. In a game with four ties and three lead changes, Kentucky secured the victory late in the third period.

While the regular season finale did not go as planned, the Ice Dawgs will need to respond quickly with the SEC Tournament coming up this weekend. Coming in to the tournament as the #1 seed, the Ice Dawgs will look to “three-peat” as SEC champs.
