The UGA Hockey team is only as good as the members of the team each season. The program strives for success on the ice, in the classroom, and in the community. The experiences shared by teammates create memories that become part of the growing history of the Georgia Hockey family. YOU could be part of the next chapter of Ice Dawg history!

PLAY IN FRONT OF THOUSANDS AT THE CLASSIC CENTER!

Home games for the Ice Dogs are played in downtown Athens, walking distance from North Campus at the Classic Center in Athens, GA, with seating for 2,000+ fans.   And coming soon, the new 5500 seat Classic Center Arena, will be the future home of the Ice Dawgs.  Check out the new arena:  https://youtu.be/g_wCpYB1MlQ

Current and future UGA students interested in playing for the Ice Dogs should fill out the player profile information form listed below and click on “submit” at the bottom of the form.

ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY

Please visit admissions.uga.edu to view admissions standards for the University of Georgia.  THE average GPA for incoming freshmen is 3.8.  For transfer students, a 3.3 GPA with a minimum of 30 college credit hours is required.

The Collegiate Hockey Federation administers specific eligibility rules that players must comply with in order to maintain their active status on the Georgia Hockey Team.  The basic academic rules state that each player must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student, and successfully complete a minimum number of credits each semester.
